THE ROLE

The Senior Consultant, Private Equity Leadership Advisory brings impactful solutions to Private Equity and Venture Capital clients by leading mid-size engagements and/or significant workstreams on larger, more complex engagements. Utilizing industry knowledge and expertise, Senior Consultants deliver solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. Senior Consultants take the initiative in actively listening to our Private Equity and Venture Capital clients and proposing and implementing Advisory solutions, while also effectively delegating and partnering with others to achieve common goals.

Work will be conducted in a remote environment. This position offers a base salary of $160,000 to $185,000 and is eligible for the Leadership Advisory bonus plan. Salary within our ranges is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Impact and Delivery:
  • Deliver endtoend executive assessment processes to Private Equity and Venture Capital clients.

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding across all WittKieffer services, with a deep expertise in Leadership Advisory offerings to support solutions that deliver measurable client impact.

  • Lead midsize leadership advisory engagements and significant workstreams within larger or more complex engagements.

  • Conduct and debrief high stakes assessments for CEOs, boards, executive leadership teams, and senior leaders.

  • Deliver the highest quality work consistently, proactively mitigating delivery and client expectation risks.

  • Effectively delegate and collaborate with associates and consultants, supporting their development and achievement of utilization goals.

Client Management:
  • Demonstrate executive presence in senior-level settings with Private Equity and Venture Capital clients and comfortably engage boards, investors, and executives with confidence and tact.

  • Identify client business need(s) through confident questioning and active listening in client conversations.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, investors, and board members.

  • Effectively describe and position the full breadth of Leadership Advisory offerings beyond one's area of depth.

  • Support research on client/sector business issues, with a view to identifying other areas for positive impact on our clients' business.

  • Maintain and continue to develop a strong network of client relationships to understand their needs and identify opportunities for expanded impact.

Business Development and Brand Positioning:
  • Lead proposal development, including scoping/pricing in accordance with Leadership Advisory guidelines for review and approval.

  • Shape customized, differentiated proposals with a clear, compelling story. Look for ways to expand work with clients where a need exists.

  • Actively build an expanded portfolio of client relationships over time.

  • Identify and advance opportunities to expand work with clients, including needs which may or may not be evident to the client.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership not only in their market, but with colleagues across other markets or solutions.

Developing Self and Others:
  • Learn Leadership Advisory's private equity focus and operate more independently within 6 months.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years' postgraduate working experience, with some background in management or organizational development consulting (preferably external).

  • Previous experience partnering with private equity firms and their portfolio companies and an understanding of private equity pace, value-creation expectations, and investor mindset.

Critical Competencies:

  • Proven ability to produce exceptional written materials and executive-level presentations.

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency.

  • Industry experience in at least one market and a desire to learn others.
