POSITION SUMMARY
This person is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, and accepting or rejecting all supplies and equipment delivered to the hospital, accurately processing all necessary paperwork, documentation, such as packing slips, bills of lading. This person will also insure an adequate supply of floor stock for all materials.

Education
  • Must have high school diploma or GED.

Experience
  • Previous experience with storage and distribution of supplies is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Medical/Surgical supplies will help the technician be more effective.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work accurately and effectively in oral and written directions and communication.
  • Enjoys working with people and works cooperatively with other hospital staff.
  • Constant kneeling, stooping, bending, twisting and occasional need to lift patients
  • Medium Lifting, generally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
