Pay From:
$21 per hour

MUST:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required

Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling experience required

Prior transplant, specialty care, surgical, or hospital-based scheduling experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows

Experience with EMR/EHR systems

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

DUTIES:

We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Transplant Clinical Scheduler / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing transplant team. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional with strong medical scheduling experience who also possesses hands-on clinical knowledge as a Certified Medical Assistant.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and play a key role in coordinating patient care throughout the transplant process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule transplant-related appointments, procedures, consultations, and follow-up visits
  • Manage complex provider schedules across multidisciplinary transplant teams
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, testing requirements, and pre/post-transplant care coordination
  • Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and medical records
  • Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and clinical documentation as needed
  • Support physicians, nurses, and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative and clinical workflow
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and outside medical records requests
  • Ensure timely communication between patients, providers, laboratories, and specialty departments
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information
  • Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate support to transplant patients and families
