Responsibilities

  • Requires the ability to conduct and evaluate destructive testing along with visual checks so necessary adjustments to the set-up can be made to produce a quality part

  • Set-up machines for operate only

  • Be capable of running multiple machines at the same time

  • Must be capable of scheduling and prioritizing orders to meet customer demand and on-time delivery

  • Possess the ability to make minor program changes on Fanuc robotics controls

  • Able to set-up and operate all Warhawk Cell equipment

  • Fanuc robotics

    • Wauseon roll forming

    • Benders

    • Crimpers

    • Etchers

  • Must be able to identify, analyze, and evaluate machine and material problems

  • Report necessary machine repair problems to maintenance

  • Be capable of making adjustments and repairs to equipment and machines when necessary

  • Actively participate in department process team activities and projects

  • Must be capable of interacting with Production and Inventory Control (P&IC), Engineering, Quality, and other plant operation at all times

  • Assist the department manager with continuous improvement efforts

  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.

  • Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • previous experience in machining and troubleshooting
  • Sound decision making skills

  • Good math, reading and writing skills

  • Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
