Job Summary:

Works closely with the Director of Nutrition Services to support fiscally responsible and high-quality efficient operations. Provides administrative support for the Nutrition Services Director. Manages general oversight of FTE utilization, finances, and budget. Supports the director in collecting and processing quality metrics. The Business Manager performs and/or oversees centralized staffing model, schedule building, and daily staffing functions. Responsible for the analysis of scheduling and staffing utilization data and identifies opportunities for improvement. The Business Manager responds to data requests and proactively develops systems to share quality and performance data critical to departmental operations. The Business Manager works to improve systems and projects across the department to enable all areas of Nutrition Services to achieve the highest outcome. The Business Manager is responsible for the Nutrition Recruiting and Outreach Coordinator and Office Coordinator supporting 200+ employees.

Education:
Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:
Three to five years progressive, successful management experience in strategic planning, business planning, and financial analysis. A background in business, management, and Nutrition Services in an Academic Medical Center is preferred. Proven ability to create, manage, maintain, advice, and communicate on related datasets and metrics.

Knowledge/Special Skills:
Knowledge of hospital operations, budgeting, and business plan development. Strong computerskills including Microsoft Office, scheduling applications, HR applications, and standard officeprocedures. Must demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and group facilitationskills. The ability to positively influence others is required. Attention to detail in program planningand implementation, problem solving, team building, quality improvement processes, decision making, and consulting skills are keys to success. Ability to manage competing priorities anddiverse constituents in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain competent writing and editingskills, including proper grammar, spelling and punctuation along with competency in basic math.
Successful applicants will have a customer service orientation and the ability to communicate andlisten effectively. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as telephones, faxmachine, calculators, and copiers.
