Job Description:

We are seeking a developmental editor to join our Digital Content team at a leading global STM publisher. The ideal candidate will bring editorial expertise and a passion for improving the clarity, accuracy, and educational impact of healthcare content. This role combines developmental and line editing of educational healthcare content in a dynamic, technology-forward content production environment.

This position is part of the Clinical eLearning team within Digital Content.

Key responsibilities:

  • Edit healthcare-related educational content for accuracy, clarity, structure, and consistency.
  • Perform line editing and copyediting for grammar, usage, and adherence to internal style guides and industry standards (e.g., AMA Manual of Style).
  • Collaborate closely with content developers, instructional designers, clinical editors, project managers, and image coordinators to ensure content meets quality, style, and educational objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Participate in virtual meetings and collaborate via Microsoft Teams and other internal communication tools.
  • Adapt to evolving workflows and technologies, contributing to process improvements and new content development approaches.

Essential years of experience and/or education (or certification) requirements the candidates must have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience editing professional clinical content (not consumer facing).
  • Education is a high school diploma
