General Job Description Position Summary As the Assistant Division Manager, you will assist in the overall leadership and management of the McAllen, TX division operations. Working closely with the Division Manager, you will help drive operational growth, efficiency, profitability, and service quality across the division. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations, managing personnel, overseeing warehouse and purchasing activities, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, and local inspection authorities. The Assistant Division Manager will play a critical role in fostering a positive team culture while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational goals. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Organize, plan, and assist in the management of the McAllen division's daily operations. Recruit, train, coach, and manage field and office personnel while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Oversee office and warehouse operations, including company vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory management. Monitor and evaluate division performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing operational enhancements. Manage warehouse operations and oversee purchasing and inventory activities. Maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Supervise projects and support Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and other key personnel. Collaborate with the purchasing team on buyouts and day-to-day purchasing needs. Maintain and build relationships with utility companies and municipal inspection bureaus. Support ongoing training, safety initiatives, and workforce development programs. Assist in ensuring compliance with all company safety standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in occasional travel to corporate offices and education centers in Texas and Florida. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 6+ Specific Qualifications Requirements Previous experience in management or leadership roles, preferably within construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or residential services industries. Strong understanding of management best practices with demonstrated leadership ability. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management abilities. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven, or high-pressure environments. Experience managing multiple priorities and operational functions simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business management software is preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the workday. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel between office, warehouse, and job site locations as needed. Must be comfortable working in both office and field environments, including active residential construction sites. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and tablets. Ability to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as business needs require. Must be able to safely navigate construction sites and comply with all safety requirements and PPE standards. Work Environment This position operates in a combination of office, warehouse, and residential construction site environments in McAllen, TX and surrounding areas. The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and other conditions commonly associated with construction environments. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring strong multitasking and adaptability skills. Frequent interaction with employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and municipal representatives. Occasional travel to corporate offices and training/education centers in Texas and Florida may be required.
