Voith Hydro is hiring for: Supervisor of Machining II Supervise the daily activities of the machining department.Maintain a safe work environment. Assign hourly personnel, establish goals, determine workflow, and schedule daily departmental activities.Administer operational policies, procedures, progressive discipline, and attendance policies. Primary Responsibilities:
Principal Working Relationships: Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, Union Officials, Human Resources, Safety Coordinator, Administrator, hourly work force and(Internal/External) customers. Education: Requires a high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in the machining field. Journeymen Machinist/Tool & Die Maker papers are strongly recommended. A two- or four-year technical degree in machining from an accredited institution would be a plus. Special Knowledge or Skills: A detailed knowledge of machining fundamentals, manufacturing equipment, processes, and good interpersonal skills are required. Prior Experience: 2-5 years supervising in a manufacturing (preferably metalworking) environment. Previous supervisory experience in a Union environment.
