The IT Coordinator Depot Maintenance position is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the repairs of POS computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals deployed to Sherwin-Williams stores. Hardware repairs can involve cleaning of cases and components using solvent to board level repairs. The IT Coordinator documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems. The incumbent also provides advance replacement equipment for failures in the field. The incumbent will perform a variety of basic operational tests on main POS devices and analysis tasks.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

This position is not hybrid/remote and will report to our Cleveland, OH Global HQ

Responsibilities:

* Receive, unpack, inspect, clean, and prepare equipment, materials, and supplies; report damages, discrepancies, and defects.

* Assemble, stage, and prepare goods and equipment for shipment; update packing slips and shipment documentation based on purchase order numbers.

* Enter and maintain accurate shipment, asset, and inventory data (including serial numbers, model numbers, service/symptom codes, and shipping details) in databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.

* Perform basic operational testing on POS devices and peripheral hardware; document and report discovered issues.

* Track equipment repairs and lifecycle activity by serial number, including retirement, and returns.

* Initiate and coordinate equipment returns with store personnel and vendors, including preparation of domestic and international shipping documentation.

* Deliver and retrieve equipment for departments outside of the Depot, ensuring proper paperwork and documentation.

* Monitor supply, equipment, and inventory levels; report low inventories and provide accurate monthly inventory counts and status reports.

* Assist with departmental inventory activities and maintain accurate, timely inventory totals.

* Review, update, and maintain Help Desk and Depot-related reports, including daily support lists, releases, escalations, and routed equipment requests.

* Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

* Cross-train with other technicians to support operational continuity and learn all assigned job functions.

* Perform assigned duties under direct supervision.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma
  • Knowledge & Experience:

  • 0-1 years IT experience

  • Basic understanding of a POS system

  • Basic understanding of Computer repairs

  • Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including MSWord, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and/or Access

  • Experience with FedEx ship manager

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-70lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 90 lbs.

Preferred:

  • Current enrollment in college program, comparable business experience considered
