Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities

* Processes material requisitions, complete purchase orders, and forward to supervisor for approval following departmental procedures.
* Expedite purchase orders, secure required delivery dates and quantities.
* Interview vendors and investigate sources of supply consistent with lowest cost and acceptable quality standards.
* Maintain good relationship with all vendor companies and their representatives.
* Negotiate with appropriate vendors for the return and/or replacement of rejected materials.
* Become familiar with the material usage requirements for subsidiary operations. Assures that vendors are advised of pertinent information.
* Becomes familiar with applicable federal and state regulations, federal priority regulations, and other rules affecting purchases. Properly applies such information in performance of job responsibilities.
* Complete paperwork as required including price change report, debit memos, and freight claim forms.
* Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

Who we are looking for

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
* Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Competitive Compensation

• Pay Range: $18.42/hr to $30.7/hr
• No benefit plan eligibility
