Valley Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Inpatient Program Therapist to join our team!

Job Description: Inpatient Program Therapist

The schedule for this positon are as follows: (Varies)

The Program Therapists works closely with UR department on obtaining authorizations from insurance companies throughout the patient's stay, completes biopsychosocial assessments, patient treatment plans, facilitates treatment teams and staffing, provides therapeutic interventions via psychoeducation and psychotherapy groups, individual and family sessions, assists in coordination of care to lower level treatment interventions and assists the treatment team in understanding the barriers to discharge planning, completes patient crisis safety plans, behavior plans, referrals, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, or related degree required.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, utilization management, and/or case management.

Licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LIASC, LMFT, or other healthcare - related licensure preferred. If not licensed, must be able to obtain license within 6 months of hire.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Must have valid CPR card upon hire.
