Summary

A leading

international wholesale and distribution firm specializing in supply chain

solutions is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager. This organization

operates as a vital link in the global trade network, providing comprehensive

logistics and distribution services to a diverse client base.

The Accounting

Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations while

driving the facility's financial initiatives. They will lead month-end

financial closings, financial reporting, and reconciliations. This role

requires an individual capable of working with a high degree of independence to

manage the U.S. entity's books and assist with the financial complexities of

international operations, including foreign exchange restatements for their

Mexico-based business.

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to



  • Financial Closing: Independently manage and execute the

    monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes for the U.S.

    entity.
  • International

    Accounting:
    Prepare and manage

    foreign exchange (Forex) restatements to maintain the Mexico entity's

    books in USD.
  • Data Analysis: Review and analyze financial data for

    accuracy and reasonableness, identifying variances and performing root

    cause analysis.
  • Operational Oversight: Assist divisional operation managers and

    accounting clerks with tasks related to accounts payable, accounts

    receivable, and daily bank deposits.
  • Payroll & Reporting: Review divisional payroll information and

    prepare necessary payroll entries; prepare monthly internal financial

    statements and assist with the reporting package for the parent company.
  • Special Projects: Lead and coordinate high-level projects,

    such as collaborating with tax professionals for tax returns, transfer

    pricing studies, and internal control initiatives.
  • Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process and

    manage fixed asset accounting.



Qualifications

The ideal

candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can juggle multiple high-priority

tasks simultaneously and navigate the complexities of a fast-paced wholesale

environment.

Required



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a

    related business field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of gradually increasing

    responsibility in accounting roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience in closing financial

    books independently without direct supervision.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with inventory reconciliation

    within a wholesale or distribution environment.
  • Communication: Strong written and oral communication

    skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed to support

    business operations.


Preferred



  • Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

    designation.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV

    (Navision) or Business Central.
  • Background: Experience dealing with complex internal

    controls and international transfer pricing data.


The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
