What You Will Do:

The role of the Export Specialist is to facilitate the movement of products/equipment/ materials out of the country, via ocean or air freight, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, and to comply with relevant local, country and international laws and processes. In addition, this role provides customer service with regard to bookings, rates, document production, accounting, agent interaction and problem solving.

  • Receive and process customer Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Receive and complete customer Requests for Quote (RFQ)
  • Collect and record Export Compliance requirements related to customer, End-User, and End Country Destination.
  • Manage and ship Sales Orders for both internal and external customers worldwide.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on customer requirements and order updates.
  • Provide direct customer support for quotes, order status and material shipments.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years order management, customer service, supply chain logistics, and/or international shipping
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Oracle Order Management
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Data Entry

Preferred Qualifications

  • College Degree
  • International business experience
  • International business experience in sales or order processing

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
