Title: Maintenance Technician 4
Salary Range: $27.04 Status: Non-Exempt Days/Shifts: 1st Location: Bessemer City Reports to: Maintenance Manager GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, testing, and replacing equipment according to the company's needs. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. Consistently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and risk of electrical shock. Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work overtime as needed. Some weekends are required. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: One year certificate from college or technical school, or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
