Wentworth Health Partners Rheumatology is located in a state-of-the-art facility at 10 Members Way, Dover, NH. We are a full-service practice caring for adults with arthritis, osteoporosis, musculoskeletal pain disorders and systemic autoimmune diseases. Our areas of expertise include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Gout, Joint Pain, Lupus, Neck & Back Pain, Raynaud's Syndrome.
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team working onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is comfortable managing complex patient cases and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. The position involves supporting patients who are prescribed complex specialty medications, providing a high level of education around treatment plans, and coordinating care with infusion centers. The LPN will also be responsible for assessing patient acuity, communicating closely with physicians, and conducting nurse visits that are primarily focused on patient education and follow-up care.
Serving as the sole LPN in the office, you'll partner with four physicians and four medical assistants to support comprehensive, patientfocused care.
Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager, licensed clinical leader, or non-clinical practice manager - and in collaboration with other team members - provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the scope of practice.

Essential Functions
-Interviews patients about current problems, medications, and allergies, and reviews medical records for pertinent previous and current information.
-Measure and record patients' vital signs. Based on the chief complaint, the physician may also perform additional screening exams as needed, such as hearing, vision, depression, and falls assessments.
-Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
-Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, administering enemas or douches, applying alcohol rubs, massaging, performing catheterizations, administering routine immunizations, and/or providing nebulizer treatments and visual acuity tests.
-Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse).
-Communicates post-visit findings and participates in the plan of care, in coordination with the appropriate clinical staff
-Performs a variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages, and performs triage within the scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner.
-Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
-Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
-Assist patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, transferring in bed, and standing and walking.

Education
Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Licensed Practical Nurse required

Licenses and Credentials
Licensed Practical Nurse [LPN - State License] - required

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred

Experience
Medical experience 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of patient education: interviewing and listening skills, teaching and engagement techniques, and understanding of health-related conditions and information.
- Ability to accurately perform vital signs and obtain pertinent health information, including but not limited to: temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height, and weight.
- Ability to administer medication; routes of administration may include injections, intravenous, and oral medications.
- Knowledge and ability to perform specific procedures and tests as appropriate to the clinical setting.
- Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, clear, and concise manner.

Prior experience in rheumatology is strongly preferred, but we also welcome candidates with a strong background in internal medicine or neurology. This position requires a high degree of empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
