Another Source's client, Sabey Data Centers is recruiting a Data Center Facilities Engineer to join their team in Austin (Round Rock, Texas).

Internally titled Data Center Operations Engineer 1.

This is an opportunity to step into a critical facilities role supporting always-on infrastructure. About this role

As a Data Center Facilities Engineer, you will be hands-on in the daily operations of a mission-critical facility. You'll support the maintenance, monitoring, and reliability of complex electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems that power high-availability environments for enterprise clients.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their data center or facilities career who wants exposure to sophisticated infrastructure, real-time problem solving, and a clear path for advancement. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain the technical foundation needed to grow within Sabey's facilities and operations organization.

Your Contribution Will Likely Include

    Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of data center equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Supporting preventive maintenance programs across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Monitoring building management systems (BMS) and responding to alarms and environmental alerts
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues in collaboration with senior engineers and documenting resolutions
  • Participating in incident response and on-call rotations to support 24/7 facility operations
  • Assisting with inventory tracking and coordinating procurement of replacement parts
  • Supporting vendor and contractor activities during maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of equipment, systems, and incident reports
  • Contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity readiness efforts
  • Promoting and adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures

Experience You Will Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, or related technical field
  • Exposure to data center or critical facility environments preferred
  • Technical certifications or coursework in relevant disciplines a plus
  • Ability to learn and navigate facility systems, documentation, and procedures quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
  • Solid communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond effectively under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Willingness to learn and leverage new technologies, including AI tools

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $62,685 - $94,027.
