This role offers location flexibility and is open to candidates across the United States.

Candidates based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area will be hired in a hybrid capacity and are expected to work onsite at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.

Current Need:

TheSenior Technical Product Manageris accountable endtoend for one or more productized interoperability capabilities, owning strategy, roadmap, delivery outcomes, and adoption across internal platform consumers and external partners or customers. This roleoperatesat the intersection of healthcare interoperability standards, platform engineering, and business outcomes-translating regulatory requirements, customer needs, and technical opportunities into scalable, consumable interoperability products.

TheSeniorTechnical Product Manager defines the problem space, sets technical product direction, and ensures interoperability capabilities are built once, adopted broadly, anddelivermeasurable value. This role serves as a subject matter expert for its product area and plays a key role in driving adoption, reliability, and longterm sustainability of interoperability platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Own the product vision and strategy for one or more interoperability capabilities, aligned to business goals, regulatory requirements, and platform standards

  • Build andmaintaina productized roadmap with clear value propositions, adoption targets, KPIs, and lifecycle plans

  • Conduct ongoing discovery across interoperability standards, regulatory changes, platform trends, cloud services, and security to inform product direction

Product Development & Execution

  • Partner with engineering and architecture to define crosscutting technical requirements, including APIs, schemas, versioning, and integration patterns

  • Prioritize across new capabilities, lifecycle management, and technical investments based on value and adoption impact

  • Define product goals and OKRs; design experiments, measure outcomes, and iterate using data

  • Support product launches with technical readiness checks, operational alignment, and postlaunch measurement

Adoption & Enablement

  • Drive internal and external adoption of interoperability capabilities through enablement patterns, documentation, onboarding flows, and release communication

  • Collaborate with adjacent product teams to ensure interoperability capabilities are reusable, discoverable, and consistently leveraged

  • Represent the product area in crossteam planning, dependency alignment, and governance forums

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Ensure alignment across product, engineering, security, compliance, and operations to support discoverytodelivery flow

  • Mentor and support Product Owners on execution, backlog management, and delivery practices

  • Own resolution of daytoday product and technical escalations to completion

Product Health & Sustainability

  • Ensure ongoing product health through lifecycle planning, defect management, and participation in CAPA activities as needed

  • Balance functional and technical investments tomaintainperformance, reliability, and scalability of interoperability products

MinimumRequirement:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or equivalent senior engineering role in healthcare or health IT

  • Software or systems engineering background, or equivalent technical degree

  • Deepexpertisein interoperability standards such as FHIR, CCD,and HL7V2, with familiarity in modern interoperability architectures

  • Experience with nationwide exchange such asCareQuality

  • Experience working with EMR systems and providerfacing healthcare technologies

  • Proventrack recordleading complex technical initiatives involving regulatory or compliance considerations

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills across technical and nontechnical audiences

  • Ability tooperateindependently while managing competing priorities

Additional Skills:

  • Experience translating healthcare regulatory requirements into scalable product capabilities

  • Familiarity with CMS interoperability requirements and healthcare data exchange frameworks

  • Experience building platform or sharedservices products with measurable adoption outcomes

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define KPIs and use data to guide decisions

  • Comfortoperatingin Agile/Scrum delivery environments

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $136,500 - $227,500
