Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Microbial Repository) Duration:12 Months Location:9330 Zionsville Rd ,IndianapolisIN Hours: 40 hours/week Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Work Type: Onsite only (No remote/non-local candidates) Education & Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree in Biotechnology or related science field OR Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience Required Skills & Experience Background in: Biology / Microbiology / Biotechnology Hands-on experience with: GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) Aseptic Techniques (required) LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) Lab Automation (preferred) Strong: Attention to detail Organizational skills Communication & time management Key Responsibilities Under the direction of scientists and technicians, the contractor will: Support day-to-day operations of the Microbial Repository Perform routine and non-routine lab tasks, including: Ordering supplies Cleaning and organizing lab areas Performing manual liquid transfers Operating automated liquid handlers Storing and retrieving samples from freezers and shakers Pick and prepare samples for internal/customer delivery Assist other laboratory teams during low workload periods Collaborate closely with technicians and scientists to ensure smooth operations Critical Success Factors Excellent organizational skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency in aseptic techniques Additional Information Medical Surveillance Required: No Exposure to Common Allergens: No Driving Required: No Special Equipment Required: No Skills-Based Hiring Enabled: No Manager's Note The ideal candidate should demonstrate: Strong attention to detail High level of organization Genuine interest in biology/microbiology
