As a Security Officer for City Transit Stations in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring reliability, integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to every shift.

Pay Rate: $21.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, riders, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations, and report concerns to site contacts and/or appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, public access areas, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing foot traffic and/or reporting suspicious behavior.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, policy violations, and notable activity, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
