Job Summary
The Electronic Technician II performs technical functions in support of engineering activities, including building, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic equipment and systems. This role works from schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions to support development and testing efforts across analog, digital, and related systems. The position requires practical knowledge of electronic theory and the ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and recommend design improvements. Job Responsibilities
- Construct, test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain electronic equipment and systems
- Interpret schematics, diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation to perform assigned tasks
- Conduct testing in development environments and identify root causes of malfunctions
- Recommend and implement corrective actions or design modifications as needed
- Assist in the design, construction, and testing of test equipment
- Support engineering teams in development, system checkout, and fabrication activities
- Perform adjustments and calibrations to ensure equipment operates within specifications
- Document test results, findings, and modifications
- Follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and internal stakeholders
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in electronics, testing, or engineering support roles
- Working knowledge of electronic theory, including analog and digital circuits
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Good communication and organizational skills
Work Experience
- Experience in development, testing, or engineering support environments preferred
- Experience working with electronic test equipment and system checkout processes preferred
