Job Summary

The Production Shipping/Receiving Clerk III is responsible for performing a combination of manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking within a warehouse or distribution environment. This role ensures accurate processing, documentation, and movement of materials, including finished goods, raw materials, and equipment. The position requires the use of computer systems to track shipments, verify inventory, and maintain records, while exercising judgment and initiative in handling non-routine tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy, quantity, and condition
• Prepare, package, and ship outgoing materials in accordance with established procedures
• Unpack and organize materials, including finished goods, parts, and supplies
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory using computer systems
• Process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, freight bills, and packing lists
• Track, log, and report shipping and receiving activities
• Post weights, shipping charges, and route materials to appropriate destinations
• Follow established shipping practices, routing, and scheduling requirements
• Operate forklifts or other equipment to move materials as needed
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving records and files
• Communicate with internal teams, supervisors, and external partners regarding shipments
• Support training of team members and assist in resolving routine issues

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Experience using computer systems for inventory tracking and documentation
• Ability to operate forklifts or material handling equipment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow standard procedures and apply basic problem-solving skills
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required

Work Experience

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments preferred
• Experience with shipping documentation and inventory systems preferred
