About the team:
OpenAI's charter calls on us to ensure the benefits of AI are distributed broadly and safely. Our Science team is building AI-native products that help scientists and researchers think more deeply, move faster, and accelerate discovery across disciplines. Advancing science will be one of the defining impacts of AI. Scientists today face rising complexity, fragmented tools, and growing pressure to learn faster, reason across more information, and move from idea to insight with greater speed and rigor. We are building OpenAI for Science experiences to support scientific thinking, writing, analysis, and collaboration across fields such as math, physics, materials science, biology, chemistry, semiconductors, energy, and more. About the role:We are seeking an experienced product designer to craft the scientific product experiences of today and tomorrow. Design plays a critical role here. You'll create products that are intuitive, elegant, and ambitious, and that push the boundaries of what AI-native tools can do for scientists and researchers. You'll help shape experiences that support discovery itself, from early exploration and reasoning to writing, iteration, and collaboration. In this role, you will:
