Summary

Prepares and analyzes financial transactions, ensuring adherence to GAAP accounting standards. Manages general ledger activities, maintains financial records, coordinates audit preparations, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Contributes to providing financial insights to support organizational decision-making. Collaborates with other departments to streamline processes and support business decisions.





Job Functions

Execute accounting with accuracy for your technical and/or functional assigned areas in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).



*



Provide expertise and specialized knowledge to all entities for your assigned technical/functional area/s



*



Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and opportunities, and present insights to management and stakeholders.



*



Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.



*



Collaborate & partner with other departments to provide financial insight and resolve issues and discrepancies.



*



Prepare and review month-end journal entries, accruals, and adjustments within required timeframes during the close for your assigned area/s.



*



Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure completed accurately and timely.



*



Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline accounting processes.



*



Schedule meetings with appropriate team members as necessary to help resolve issues.



*



Escalate issues to management. Provide recommendations to leadership to help with issue resolution.



*



Be an active participant in projects, new processes, and/or new technologies (i.e., new Workday ERP).



*



Coordinate and provide audit request support & maintain a strong relationship with external partners, including auditors.



*



Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.



*



Support the annual budgeting process as needed.



*



Communicate with internal and external stakeholders while offering guidance.





Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field (Required)



Master's Degree or CPA (preferred)



One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience, or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.



5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (Required)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Uphold ethical principles by maintaining confidentiality, ensuring informed consent, and making decisions that prioritize the well-being of both patients and staff.



Work seamlessly within diverse teams, bringing together professionals from various disciplines to provide patient-centered care and achieve collective goals.



Assists colleagues in understanding and adhering to compliance procedures.



Proactively identifies and mitigates low-level compliance risks within their area of responsibility.



Makes decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation; may make recommendations for solving problems of moderate complexity and importance.



May begin to influence department strategy.



Addresses problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents.



Applies in-depth and/or broad knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of difficult assignments in Accounting.



Comprehensive, in-depth, or broad knowledge of Accounting & GAAP.



Works on assignments of large scope, impact, and/or importance.



Participates in and contributes to departmental cost-saving initiatives.



Intermediate proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).




Salary Range: $34.41 /hour - $56.82 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
