The Moffitt Long Operating Room (OR) consists of 28 surgical suites. Our primary focus is tertiary/quaternary surgical care using team based staffing. Our complex surgery uses the most advanced technology, including hybrid suites and robotic surgery. Services include but are not limited to: General Surgery, Urology, Transplant, Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracid, OHNS, OMFS, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.

Required qualifications:

  • 2-3 years Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in scrubbing and circulating Neurosurgery cases, including Neurovascular (Open and Intraop angiography), Functional, Peripheral nerve and Neurooncological specialties.
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge

Preferred qualifications:

  • BSN
  • CNOR

License/Certification:

  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification

Salary Information


The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
