Come join our dynamic, highly skilled Pelvic Physiology outpatient APP team. The Pelvic Physiology service uses advanced technologies to evaluate patients experiencing pelvic floor disorders, fecal incontinence, constipation, anal or rectal tumors, and/or anal fistulas. The NP will provide clinical guidance and care for patients receiving treatment(s) for pelvic floor disorders as well as other cancers, including the use of diagnostic tools such as anal manometry, biofeedback, and endoanal ultrasound, provide pre- and post-operative management and optimization, symptom management, care coordination, assistance with triage, and other duties as assigned. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. Requirements: Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a master's or doctoral degree aligned with the patient population and clinical role. Two (2) years of NP experience Direct experience with oncology, gastroenterology, and/or women's health patients in the last two (2) years Knowledge of the clinical and operational issues for nurse practitioners performing advanced-practice nursing within departments and specialty areas, including evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as patient-care concepts and policies. Preferred: 2+ plus or more years of NP experience in gastroenterology Experience with performing procedures, i.e. scopes, pelvic exams AOCNP Certification Previous employment in a university hospital License/Certifications: 1. California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Schedule II furnishing privileges NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role Adult Outpatient (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC). California Driver License (if required for position) Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Additional required AHA certifications: None additional to BLS Additional required certifications (such as ENLS): none UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
