Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Lead in Godfrey, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Be part of a caring team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, and acts with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, provide directions, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns through proper channels.
  • Support daily operations during classes, events, and campus activities by following post orders, assisting with crowd management, and completing assigned reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
