About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Gage Crib Inspector, who is a detailed - oriented professional with a passion for quality and precision. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on challenges, values strong working relationships, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards in manufacturing quality. You will be coordinating all calibration of the measuring and test equipment used to assure the quality of product produced. In addition, you will be setting gages for production associates. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and highly motivated team.

Location: Plainville, CT - This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday with overtime available (1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm).

This role is temporary, with the possibility of being permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up, tears down and maintains gages to minimize down time of machinists and inspectors.
  • Receives, verifies, organizes of gages and parts inventory.
  • Maintains inventory Levels using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Quotes gaging needs for inspection process.
  • Maintenance of gage calibrations and gage crib.
  • Keeps all gaging sorted in a logical fashion.
  • Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Up to 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance function in a commercial or Aerospace environment
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering sketches.
  • Must have demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and customer required records.

Working Conditions

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
    • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
    • Must be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairs
    • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
    • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
