Overview:

The Reporting & Analytics Consultant delivers high quality reporting and analytical insights that inform and influence business decisions across Affinity Solutions. This role designs, delivers, and enhances data and analytics solutions while proactively supporting data quality, standards, and governance. The consultant partners with stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable, actionable insights for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in reporting and analytics within the Affinity Solutions team. Maintains existing reporting data while collaborating with business and data partners to enhance and improve the overall reporting experience.

  • Fulfill moderate to complex data and reporting requests by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from multiple sources across business areas.

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports and translate business requirements into reporting deliverables and KPIs by working with business to understand goals and data needs. Ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders and explain complex results in business terms.

  • Perform complex curation of data across several databases and legacy source systems, including proactive monitoring of data quality and performance in business-critical situations.

  • Research and resolve complex data curation and data quality issues, implementing corrective actions to lead a data quality practice within Affinity.

  • Maintain documentation of data definitions, calculations, usage, and restrictions, ensuring consistency with analytics and reporting standards.

  • Assist with analytics and reporting tool exploration and discovery and contribute to the testing and evaluation of new systems, workflows, or enhancements to determine feasibility and impact to data accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relatable experience in a large, complex organization.

  • Requires working knowledge and experience in relational databases.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Solid experience with Business Objects, SQL, understanding of mainframe systems, and tools to extract data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Experience with Tableau.

  • Experience with Alteryx.

  • Knowledge of insurance principles and ability to apply them to a wide range of products.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$73,700.00 - $136,800.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
