Facilities - Senior Supervisor - Plymouth, MN - Onsite

Daikin Applied is seeking a Facilities - Senior Supervisor who will supervise assigned staff in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. This position is responsible for scheduling, maintenance and monitoring the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. The Senior Supervisor will supervise the facility technicians, janitorial services and grounds maintenance such as building layouts, space planning, waste management programs, landscaping, lawn care and snow removal. This position also has facility budgetary and compliance responsibilities.

Location: Onsite, Plymouth, MN

What you will do:

  • Supervise and communicate effectively with facilities technicians engaged in building and mechanical equipment preventative maintenance and repair programs across the site
  • Collaborate with management to schedule office moves, repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations
  • Implement preventive maintenance program and coordinate implementation with internal team as well as management
  • May be tasked with performing preventative maintenance and the repair/troubleshooting of equipment
  • Oversee and direct the Cafeteria, Vending, and other foodservice vendors to support the site workforce
  • Oversee and direct the site Janitorial vendor(s), Food Service vendors, grounds maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, security, and other service vendors as needed, in routine and emergency services in support site operations
  • Support the planning and completion of company events for employees (customer visits, Employee appreciation events, etc.)
  • Submit, oversee and approve purchase requests for department
  • Complete employee performance evaluations and has the ability to address performance related matters
  • Review and Close completed work orders to proper standards in maintenance management software
  • Participate as a lead of the emergency response team. Assist outside emergency response teams
  • Observe, comply with and hold team accountable to Company safety procedures at all times.
  • Respond to emergencies and support after hours facility needs and activities as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Vocational or Technical degree or equivalent experience (Certificate in maintenance related subject matter)
  • 4+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience
  • History of leading others
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and controls is required (i.e. Fire Alarm, Security, HVAC, Lighting, Card Access, Closed Circuit Television, etc.).
  • Multiple EPA, Universal, NATE, or other equivalent Certifications
  • CMMS/Work Order Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience (Technical degree in Engineering or Project Management)
  • Understand the importance of putting the customer first, strong self-motivation and proven operational and technical skills will be keys to success
  • Familiar with HVAC equipment, laboratory testing, workflow processes and quality systems
  • Effective communicator, both written and oral communication
  • Able to build partnerships internally and externally to achieve business results.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from$80,400- $132,800plus a 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
