  • Chemical Management: Monitor and maintain chemical bath concentrations, temperatures, and pH levels. Perform basic titrations or coordinate with the lab for adjustments.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and microscopes to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements (Ra values).
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tanks, leads, and cathodes. Ensure the workspace remains clean and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, chemical tracking sheets, and quality inspection reports.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict PPE requirements and hazardous waste disposal protocols.

  • Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of DC electricity (voltage/amperage) and chemistry.
  • Precision: High attention to detail and the ability to handle delicate, high-value components.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work safely around chemicals and fumes.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications in metal finishing are a plus.

Core Competencies

  • Manual Dexterity: Skill in racking small or complex parts.
  • Safety Mindset: Proactive approach to handling acids (Phosphoric/Citric) and electrical equipment.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to adjust process parameters (time, temp, current) to achieve the desired result on various alloys.
