Exciting Opportunity at MSK:Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to join our Inpatient Float Pool. Inpatient Support Services (Float Pool)

MSK's Float Team is a dynamic and innovative group of nurses who provide coverage across inpatient acute care areas. Nurses on this team experience a wide variety of patient populations and specialties, offering the opportunity to deepen clinical knowledge and contribute across the hospital. Expand your clinical expertise by gaining experience across a variety of settings, including medical-surgical oncology, telemetry, and more through our float pool. The team receivesstrong supportfrom leadership, including a Nurse Leader, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Nurse Educator. Assignments are coordinated fairly, and nurses are fully integrated into the units they support. Orientation lasts 12 - 14 weeks, with an emphasis on developing confidence across units. Nurse-to-patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:6.

Role Overview:

  • Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status, in inpatient settings

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and institutional policies

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care

  • Provide patient and family education, support, and care coordination

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)

  • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience

  • Active New York State RN license

  • Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems

  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented inpatient environment

  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities

  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple patient care responsibilities

Additional Information:

  • Location: 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY

  • Schedule: Night Shift 7pm-7:30am; Monday through Friday, weekend and holiday rotation

Pay Range: $113,100.00 - $180,900.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
