As a Specialist - Outside Plant (OSP) Analyst I, you will support OSP projects within an assigned geographic region. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to oversee construction project materials by tracking inbound shipments, auditing material usage, and maintaining accurate inventory levels within designated systems. You will manage bills of materials and work directly with partners to confirm the precise receipt and allocation of construction materials.

In this role, you will also provide administrative and analytical support to monitor OSP build progress, track key milestones, and leverage data trends for forecasting. You will identify opportunities for process and system enhancements to improve the accuracy and efficiency of construction and material reporting. Responsibilities may also extend to broader support of outside plant construction initiatives as needed.

The ideal candidate for this role will reside in, or live within a reasonable commuting distance of, Missoula or Helena, Montana to support inmarket needs.

This position can be hired at either a Specialist - Outside Plant (OSP) Analyst (2026-29001) or Specialist - Outside Plant (OSP) Analyst I (2026-29009) level depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. Responsibilities

    Prepares and submits Bills of Materials (BOMs) required for construction project procurement, while tracking shipments and inspecting received materials for damage.
  • Utilizes internal geographic information system (GIS) and materialmanagement platforms to generate and submit BOMs, monitor material usage, and reconcile construction material quantities.
  • Monitors inventory levels at storage locations by tracking usage and remaining stock, ensuring accuracy across SAP, TPAT, and other inventory tools.
  • Supports market and project needs by helping maintain appropriate inventory levels and identifying replenishment requirements.
  • Conducts cycle counts and completes annual inventory reconciliations as assigned.
  • Maintains organized records and documentation essential for business and financial operations, including filing, archiving, and retrieving materials to support audits and financial reporting; collaborates with Finance to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinates with internal teams on the disposal, transfer, or recycling of materials in accordance with company guidelines.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 4+ years of utility construction experience -AND/OR- engineering experience
  • 1+ years of analytical experience

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, GIS and the ability to learn new tools as they are deployed.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail orientated, analytical, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • SAP Experience/knowledge
  • Ariba experience/knowledge
  • Project Management experience/exposure
  • 2+ years of telecommunications experience
