Description

a.i. solutions is looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for aerospace to join our team on the Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Services Contract (ELVIS 3) at the Kennedy Space Center. The candidate will work in a team environment as an active member of the Communications and Telemetry (C&T) team supporting operations and maintenance at Hangar AE on Cape Canaveral on Vandenburg Space Force Base. The candidate will provide Video Engineering support that always meets and usually exceeds customer expectations. This is currently a full-time salary position.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for the development of specifications, design, of various video processing equipment and management of these systems, including implementation and operation of all aspects of video data processing.
  • Manage and operate the video operational console during testing and launch operations, in addition assist customers with any video requirements for engineering analysis.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting real-time video processing environments.
  • Develop, design, and maintain system drawings in Visio for the video system.
  • An ideal candidate will have a strong background in Video over IP infrastructure and processing environments.
  • Keep NASA video & network engineering cognizant during the whole process of planning, installing, maintaining and monitoring of the system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Communications and Telemetry team.
  • Provide integration and coordination with multiple external launch-related customers.


      Minimum Qualifications:



      • U.S. citizenship
      • Obtain successful completion of a government background check
      • High School Diploma
      • 5-10 years of technical experience in a telecommunication field
      • Understanding of MS Office application suite


      Desired Background:



      • Engineering or Technical Degree with video or communications specialization
      • Professional Memberships or Certifications with Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) or other video industry trade associations
      • Network+ certification or ability to demonstrate network proficiency
      • Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro editing software suite
      • Ability to work independently with little direction
      • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to articulate a problem and/or solution
      • Proactive in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
