Generalist - Human Resources Job ID: 107215 Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day?
If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
You will coordinate key HR elements across the lifecycle of the colleague experience and act as a trusted resource for our Midwest and Atlantic regional office locations.
You will be expected to deliver exceptional support to our colleagues and business partners, while ensuring compliance with important risk topics and legal requirements. You will be a trusted source of information and counsellor to colleagues and will play a front-line role in answering HR questions and escalating issues as needed.
You will support onboarding for new joiners by coordinating Day 1 schedules and logistics, maintaining new hire reporting, completing I-9s, fielding pre-start questions, presenting key HR information, and facilitating an engaging and seamless first day experience for new colleagues. Additionally, you will also assist with offboarding for transitioning colleagues, handling data management, executing key transition support programs, conducting exit interviews, managing recoupments and reconciliations, and ensuring a caring and supportive exit process for departing team members.
You will manage mobility, flexible programs, and role changes in the region, overseeing key internal programs, colleague rotations, and alternative opportunities. This work requires careful administration of processes, documentation, and communication for internal changes.
You will serve as the HR data and reporting expert for the region, completing month-end audit reports, responding to stakeholder requests for data, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. Additionally, you will partner on performance management and colleague development processes, drafting performance improvement plans, assisting with feedback conversations, and managing transitions.
You will serve as a trusted advisor on Duty of Care programs, guiding colleagues in accessing and navigating available support resources, championing these programs for the region, and actively managing communications and reminders among offices.
Our team works extensively within internal systems and other HR systems. You will become an expert at operating within these systems in order to build expertise on key HR topics. You will also contribute to strategic projects and office/firm priorities - contributing to efforts beyond the immediate scope of your role as needed. As a member of the broader North America HR team, you may be a contributing member, convener, or leader of a group or groups of colleagues focused on specific HR service lines or projects. Flexibility and agility are necessary as this role will evolve based on business needs and your professional development.
You will work in our Chicago location with responsibilities across our Midwest and Atlantic region. Our regional locations collectively include more than 3,500 consulting and non-consulting colleagues. You will work collaboratively across our offices as well as with other firm functions, including people legal, immigration legal, payroll, talent management, recruiting, compensation and professional development. Your position reports to the Senior Manager of Human Resources for the Midwest and Atlantic region. Your Growth
