OVERVIEW
Merrick is seeking a Construction Manager III to provide full-time, on-site leadership at a client's facility. This role does not work out of a Merrick office. The Construction Manager III will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, oversight, and management of all construction, remediation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities. Reporting to the Manager of Construction Services, the Construction Manager III ensures that all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget. This position also functions as Merrick's on-site representative, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting project execution, and identifying opportunities to expand Merrick's services. Typical salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $170,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Responsible for all on-site management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities.
- Responsible for establishing and monitoring job site safety, health, and environmental program.
- Responsible for controlling project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate all required permits, inspection, and testing agency activities.
- Ensure the quality of field installations.
- Conduct on-site schedule coordination meetings weekly, or as required, to maintain effective communication, coordination, and schedule and cost control.
- Promote Merrick to the Owner's representative and to others within the organization in an effort to acquire more business and provide additional services.
- Traveling to various jobsites.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires at least twenty (20) years of experience in the construction industry in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
- A working knowledge of OSHA requirements is necessary.
- Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
- This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills are required.
- Time management skills are a requirement of this position.
- This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards.
- This position requires an ability to use computers and software for communication and reporting purposes.
- Ability to travel to various jobsites throughout the US.
