Quality Control Technician Overview We are seeking a handson Quality Control Technician to support installation quality at active customer construction sites. This role focuses on mechanical and electrical installation checks, documentation review, and ensuring systems meet defined standards before powerup. Ideal for mechanically inclined technicians or recent CoOps with field or plant experience. Quality experience is helpful but not required-we provide full training. Key Responsibilities * Perform mechanical, electrical, and structural quality checks on transfer decks, lift cells, and adapter cells. * Validate installation quality before power is applied (spacing, cable dressing, alignment, torque, component fit-up). * Review SOPs, drawings, and documentation to ensure installations meet requirements. * Record findings, support corrective actions, and collaborate with install partners and engineering. * Work daily inside a live construction environment, entering structures to perform inspections. Training Provided * Safety training for construction-site environments * Instruction on reading drawings, SOPs, and QC checklists * Hands-on guidance to perform mechanical and electrical inspection steps Ideal Candidate Profile * Mechanical, construction, or plant environment experience (CoOp/internship acceptable). * Exposure to quality processes (formal training not required). * Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. * Effective communicator; able to work in fast-paced field conditions. * Reliable, positive attitude, and able to commute daily to the site. Qualifications * 2-3 year Technical or Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent hands-on experience. * 1-4 years in mechanical, QC, installation, or industrial environments. * Familiarity with material handling equipment and EPC-style environments is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Menomonie, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
