Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of professional human resources work.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in human resources administration or other related acceptable fields may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of one year.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional or paraprofessional human resources experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Overview

The ASA3 position assists the CDL Training Team with creating a schedule for training, compiling training materials, and facilitating training classes. They assist in monitoring third party organizations testing practices and paperwork to ensure they are meeting federal and state standards. They are accountable for scheduling travel necessary for training and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Commercial Driver's License skills testing equipment is calibrated, functional, and compliant with testing standards and accessibility requirements, while maintaining accountability for vehicles used in training
  • Coordinates procurement, and approves various invoices when needed along with various administrative tasks
  • Assist in training sessions and refresher courses both in-person and virtually
  • Coordinate travel documentation and reservations for training classes, and monitoring and compliance visits
  • Aid in creating training resources and workbooks
  • Travel to Columbia for CDL training classes or throughout the state for monitoring visits

TN Driver Standards
