As a Workplace Assistant, you'll provide one-on-one support that helps individuals build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, and maintain meaningful employment. Your work directly impacts someone's independence and ability to be part of their community.

What You Will Do

• Provide one-on-one, on-site support to individuals in a workplace setting.
• Follow each individual's Individualized Plan for Support (ISP) to help them maintain employment.
• Assist with non-job-specific skills such as:

  • Social interaction
  • Time management

• Offer prompts and guidance to help individuals stay on track during their workday.
• Support individuals in navigating the workplace safely and building independence.
• Help foster natural support and connections within the work environment.
• Provide personal care when needed (e.g., restroom assistance, eating, mobility support).
• Track and document progress toward individual goals.
• Share updates on progress, concerns, or incidents with the Employment Specialist.
• Advocate for individuals and ensure their rights are respected in the workplace.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance standards.
