Job Title: Manager, Focus Factory

Location: Conyers, GA

What we're looking for:

The Manager, Focus Factory provides operational leadership for designated manufacturing value streams including Sheet Metal Forming and Machine Operations/Tube Fabrication. This role is responsible for delivering safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity (SQDIP) performance while developing frontline leadership capability and driving continuous improvement across fabrication operations.

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

  • Lead Production Supervisor - Fabrication Operations and indirectly lead hourly fabrication associates.
  • Own operational performance for assigned focus factory areas including throughput, cost, quality, and schedule attainment.
  • Establish and sustain daily management systems including tier meetings, visual management, and escalation processes.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives including standard work, flow improvement, waste elimination, and capacity optimization.
  • Partner with Planning, Materials, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and downstream Assembly teams to ensure internal supply chain reliability.
  • Lead workforce planning, staffing strategies, and training effectiveness to support production growth and associate development.
  • Monitor and improve productivity metrics, labor utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Lead root cause problem solving for operational disruptions impacting customer delivery.
  • Develop frontline leadership capability through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Support capital deployment, layout improvements, and process capability enhancements.
  • Drive engagement initiatives that strengthen morale, accountability, and team effectiveness.
  • Communicate performance expectations using data-driven decision making.
  • Initiate requisitions for open positions. Interview and determine best candidate for position
  • Document associate skills and knowledgeto create a skills matrix of employee training needs and accomplishments
  • Ability to capture/analyze data regarding productivity -Understand through observations the causes for high and low productivity.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping in ADP for all assigned direct reports.
  • Enforce safety rules, practices and procedures to assure safety of associates, buildings, grounds and machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What are the basic qualifications?

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, or Business) OR equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supervisors or multi-department operations.

What are the preferred qualifications?

  • Experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience in fabrication environments (sheet metal fabrication and tube fabrication).
  • Able to interact and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting high-mix / variable demand manufacturing environments.
  • Strong data analytics and operational decision-making capability.
