Production Planning and Inventory Control Managers are tasked with overseeing the production process and ensuring that inventory levels are maintained in an effective manner. They play a crucial role in manufacturing operations by ensuring that the production line operates smoothly and efficiently, whilst maintaining inventory control.

Provides leadership and management for the planning and inventory departments to establish and maintain initiatives in the areas of continuous improvement, process development, employee development, corporate policy development, and flexible solutions management.

Position Responsibilities:

* Ensures that planning and inventory control functions are in alignment with the strategic plan and company goals.

* Supports Program Management with production planning data for development of the IMS and the overall Production Plan.

* Ensures the Production Plan and Master Schedule are accurate and in balance to support High Level Capacity Planning.

* Manages the production planners and stockroom functions to create a product manufacturing plan and inventory flow that provides a balanced approach to meeting on-time customer delivery requirements.

* Provides mentoring and facilitates training and cross-training of team members to maximize department flexibility and capacity.

* Monitors and drives planning and inventory activity to ensure timely execution. Regularly reviews and communicates department performance. Takes action where needed to meet department and corporate goals and strategies.

* Actively develop, lead, support or participate in continuous improvement activities and projects that provide for increased efficiency, customer service, and enhanced processes.

* Develop and implement tools, applications and processes to drive material planning excellence within the ERP system and other supporting systems.

* Maintains appropriate staffing levels for the departments. Participates in interviews and selection of employees. Provides coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and corrective actions to manage employee performance.

* Performs planner and administrative duties as needed to ensure capacity and timely processing.

* Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Skills & Abilities:

* Strong problem solving skills.

* Strong numerical and analytic reasoning capability.

* Well-developed written and oral communications skills.

* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with a diverse workforce and interface with all levels of the organization.

* Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities that can change quickly.

* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and databases.

Qualifications:

* BS/BA in Business, or Supply Chain Management, or related degree.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, preferably in a related industry.

* Inventory Control experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Strong leadership skills. Minimum of 3 years previous management experience.

Work Environment:

* Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.

* 9/80 work schedule.

* Occasional travel may be required.

* Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visited to Lancaster facility.
