As a Senior Program Manager in Itron's Professional Services team, you will lead customer success across the full lifecycle-from presales scoping through implementation, adoption, and expansion. You will partner with utility customers to understand their goals, build trusted executive relationships, and guide crossfunctional teams toward measurable, shared outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Services, Product, Engineering, and Support teams while advocating internally for customer needs to deliver innovative, customeraligned solutions. This role requires strong leadership, inclusive collaboration, and the ability to inspire diverse global teams. Focused on Itron's Distributed Energy Management portfolio, this position emphasizes DERMS programs and technologies. Candidates with endtoend DERMS program experience and familiarity with the DERMS market will be well positioned for success. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead endtoend planning and execution of complex hardware, firmware, and software programs from concept through production, ensuring inclusive collaboration and customeraligned outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules across engineering disciplines, proactively supporting teams and partners to navigate dependencies and milestones.
  • Build authentic, trustbased relationships across all organizational levels, offering steady, supportive leadership to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and with exceptional quality.
  • Monitor holistic program health; anticipate and communicate risks such as scope changes, resource constraints, schedule shifts, or budget impacts, while promoting open dialogue and shared solutions.
  • Clearly and respectfully communicate risks, decisions, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and executives in ways that encourage alignment and confidence.
  • Guide effective decisionmaking and facilitate constructive change management processes that support team agility and customer success.
  • Ensure adherence to program governance and Itron lifecycle standards, providing accurate and timely financial reporting for customer engagement programs.
  • Champion continuous improvement through process refinement, knowledge sharing, and collaborative learning that strengthens team capability and innovation.
  • Facilitate engagement with earlyadopter customers for new product releases, promoting transparent, twoway communication and collaborative validation of new solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a program manager, technical lead, or systems engineer overseeing hardware/firmware/software development in the DERMS or DEM/DSM space.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise software, SaaS, cloudbased, and onpremises solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of program and project management principles, including SAFe.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder partnership skills, with the ability to influence and build alignment without relying on direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on clarity, empathy, and collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps (ADS).
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • PMP certification or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience and may vary by location.
