Job Description

1st Shift Weekend NDT Tech (Stamper)

Title: NDT Tech - Borescope Operator
Status: Hourly
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday
Location: Mentor, OH
Reports To: Area Manager, NDT

What You'll Do

As a Borescope Inspector Finisher, you'll perform precision inspections and rework on metal castings (5-75 lbs), including turbine components. You will:

  • Conduct borescope inspections of assigned castings' cores

  • Identify defects and perform delicate rework with fine tools

  • Manage and execute rework procedures on identified defects

  • Communicate trends and issues with the Quality Department and leadership

  • Perform visual inspections to ensure top-quality output

  • Record all work daily, ensuring accurate operational tracking

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

  • Uphold a positive, collaborative work environment

You may also perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience can substitute)

  • Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment

  • Preferred experience with borescope devices and removing excess metal defects from cored metal castings

Personal Characteristics:

  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Reliable with strong attendance history

  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability for quality and quantity

  • Team-oriented problem solver

  • Positive, professional communication skills

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Able to perform high-precision tasks under tight deadlines

  • Must pass tri-annual grain/laue exam and annual eye exam

  • Flexibility to work additional or overlapping shifts as needed
