Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Configuration & Data Management Specialist to support the Technical Sustainment Team by managing data, supporting configuration management, improving internal processes, and driving documentation and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and field support teams to accomplish sustainment initiatives.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, able to deal with problems on the fly, and delivers thoughtfully designed and highly adaptable systems.


  • Support the development and execution of configuration management processes, documentation standards, and sustainment procedures.
  • Partner with the Configuration Manager to mature and scale configuration management processes, administer Change Control Boards (CCB), and maintain Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Bill of Materials (BOM) data accuracy and alignment across all enterprise toolsets.
  • Coordinate and implement documentation updates driven by field issues, corrective actions, engineering changes, and product improvements.
  • Support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities, including implementation tracking and ensuring visibility and accessibility across the engineering organization.
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, test, flight operations, and customer support teams to resolve sustainment and configuration-related issues.
  • Develop and implement automation and organizational tools to improve tracking, reporting, and documentation consistency (e.g., Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, spreadsheets, scripting tools).
  • Maintain and continuously improve internal knowledge repositories to support field operations and engineering teams.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Min 2+ years experience in configuration management, technical documentation, aerospace/UAS, or engineering support.
  • Familiarity with BOM management and revision control.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Ability to create documentation artifacts describing troubleshooting, root cause analysis and general system description to technical, non-technical and customer audiences.
  • Strong data integrity mindset and improvement-focused
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance or higher, as required


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment as well as computer hardware and peripherals. Must be physically capable of working in both office and production floor environments.


Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with occasional work in a manufacturing setting. It requires the use of standard office equipment and systems. This role involves cross-departmental collaboration and both independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard work hours for this position are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or off-hour work as business needs arise.
