Advantage Technical is hiring on behalf of our client for a Customer Success Engineer (Field Service Technician) in Durham, NC, offering $26-28/hour. If you enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving in the field, and building strong customer relationships, this role puts you at the center of it all.

As a Customer Success Engineer, you'll install, maintain, and repair HP Indigo digital presses, ensuring peak performance and uptime at customer locations. This field-based position blends advanced technical troubleshooting with customer onboarding, operator coaching, and production ramp-up support to drive long-term success.

What You'll Do:


  • Install and commission HP Indigo presses at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical (AC/DC), mechanical, and software issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and press calibrations
  • Provide responsive on-site and remote technical support
  • Deliver structured ramp-up training for operators and production teams
  • Educate customers on workflow, color management, troubleshooting, and quality control
  • Document service activity and partner with internal technical teams
  • You'll also utilize advanced diagnostic tools and AI-enabled systems to accelerate troubleshooting and improve service efficiency.



Skills & Expertise You Bring:


  • Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of Digital Printing Equipment field service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to use a multimeter
  • Understanding of digital press technology and workflow systems
  • Excellent communication and customer training abilities
  • Flexibility to travel frequently
