The Berkeley Lab is hiring an Electrical Engineering Student Intern to support the ALS-U engineering team. This part-time position (up to 20 hours/week) offers hands-on experience in upgrading the Advanced Light Source (ALS), a world-leading scientific facility. Student Interns will assist with electrical CAD drawings, installation work instructions, material handling, and kitting. On-site presence is required, with ample training opportunities on LBNL's engineering tools. Join a dynamic team advancing cutting-edge research in x-ray, infrared, and UV light. Those interested in technical documentation, QA, and manufacturing processes will focus on creating Work Instructions and Test Plans. Students with a CAD and design focus will work on 3D modeling, design, and creating manufacturing drawings. Training in LBNL-specific engineering tools will be provided.
