About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Customer Demand Planner to lead customer-level demand planning for complex, long lead-time aerospace programs. This role serves as the primary enterprise interface for assigned customers within the Integrated Demand Review and SIOP/IBP processes.

The Senior Customer Demand Planner is responsible for validating external customer signals, interpreting contractual commitments, and translating demand into a credible, enterprise-wide unconstrained demand plan that supports manufacturing execution, capacity planning, and inventory strategy across multiple sites and programs.

Location: Hybrid - Manchester, CT or South Windsor, CT. Remote location can be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead customer-level demand planning across the enterprise for assigned aerospace customers and programs, consolidating demand across sites, part numbers, and engine platforms
  • Provide strategic oversight of customer demand volatility including rate changes, backlog movements, forecast bias, lead-time shifts, and contractual adjustments; quantify risks and opportunities to manufacturing, capacity, and inventory plans
  • Validate and reconcile customer demand signals using customer forecasts, open orders, contractual agreements, and historical performance data
  • Serve as the senior demand planning interface for assigned customers during SIOP / Integrated Business Planning cycles
  • Surface customer-specific insights, risks, and scenarios during Consensus Reviews to support executive decision-making and trade-off discussions
  • Serve as a key contributor to the development and continuous improvement of the SIOP Center of Excellence by promoting best practices and cross-functional collaboration, while mentoring and partnering with Demand Planners and the Demand Planning Analyst to ensure customer demand is accurately and consistently embedded into the enterprise unconstrained demand plan across all programs and sites.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of SIOP processes at new sites and future acquisitions, ensuring consistent planning practices, alignment with enterprise standards, and smooth integration into existing demand planning operations.
  • Utilize advanced analytics, planning tools, and external data sources to forecast engine build programs and long-range customer demand
  • Support strategic planning for long-term agreements (LTAs), program lifecycle transitions, and capacity investment decisions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or operations planning within aerospace, manufacturing, or complex industrial environments
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Syteline, Epicor, or similar), demand planning tools, and advanced Excel-based forecasting models
  • Strong analytical background managing customer demand in multi-site manufacturing networks
  • Proven ability to interpret customer behavior, contractual demand signals, and order patterns and translate them into actionable enterprise forecasts
  • Experience with long-term agreements (LTAs), backlog-driven demand, and program lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of long lead-time materials, constrained capacity environments, and make-to-order / make-to-print manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of SIOP / IBP processes in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication

Travel: approximate 20% travel is required

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
