Position Overview The Scientist II performs hands-on laboratory work to support research, product development, and technical improvements for adhesive technologies. This role conducts experiments, analyzes data, and documents results to enable informed decision-making. It collaborates closely with technical teams, manufacturing partners, and cross-functional stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and independently complete defined projects.
  • Analyze results using established scientific and quality tools.
  • Prepare and present technical information during internal meetings.
  • Formulate products, evaluate raw materials, and qualify alternatives.
  • Document data in formats suitable for intellectual property protection.
  • Enter and maintain formulas in SAP.
  • Support customer complaint investigations and quality notifications.
  • Participate in plant or regional lab visits and collaborate with peers to advance new ideas.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, math, or related field.
  • 1+ year laboratory or product development experience (or MS with 0 years).
  • Experience performing structured experiments and analyzing data.
  • Familiarity with product applications, equipment, and basic quality tools.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Requirements
  • Direct experience with polymer, chemical, or adhesive formulations.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar systems.
  • Exposure to intellectual property documentation practices.
  • Ability to support structured project plans under guidance.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $72,000-$93,000.
