Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Planning Manager, the Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery, efficient use of resources, and alignment with customer demand. This role works cross-functionally with manufacturing, materials, procurement, and logistics teams to balance capacity, inventory levels, and production priorities while minimizing disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand, forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints.
  • Release, prioritize, and adjust production orders to support on time delivery.
  • Coordinate with production, materials, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Communicate schedule changes and production status to stakeholders.
  • Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels.
  • Track schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and performance metrics.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Maintain accuracy of planning data including BOMs, routings, and lead times.
  • All other duties as assigned by management


Requirements:



  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ plus years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
