This Position reports to:

Production Supervisor

In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality. Each day, you will execute the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by operating machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executes the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB Standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.
  • Operates machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.
  • Performs routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairs and fits simple replacement parts.
  • Ensures the availability of required materials to execute the assigned work according to defined workflow.
  • Ensures regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tool set-up, programming activities, and troubleshoots and reports issues, if any.
  • Maintains a safe working attitude and environment while performing daily activities.
  • Maintains detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Keeps track of approved, defective units, and final products

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
  • Must have knowledge of blueprint reading
  • Must have metal fabrication experience

PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (List any further qualifications you would prefer the ideal candidate to have)

WORKING CONDITIONS (Indicate amount of travel, unusual work - hours/shifts or environmental conditions.)

Manufacturing plant environment requiring a combination of hands-on and technical tasks. Work may involve occasional lifting of materials, climbing stairs/ladders, and walking. Employees may be required to bend, twist, or stand for extended periods.

Frequent use of computers is necessary for data entry, monitoring, and communication. Employees will also handle a variety of tools and equipment, from hand tools to machinery, requiring technical skills and adherence to safety protocols.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes, is required to ensure a safe working environment. Adhering to safety guidelines is essential for all team members.

The work environment requires physical endurance, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards to contribute to a productive and rewarding workplace.
