Overview:

The Senior Manufacturing Technician is a hands-on technical role responsible for the assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of complex semiconductor production tools. This position focuses on mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and fluid systems, working directly from engineering documentation to build high-quality equipment on schedule.

This is a second shift position with a schedule of 3:30pm to 12:00am.

Responsibilities:




  • Perform hands-on mechanical assembly of production equipment, including frames, subassemblies, motion components, and enclosures.
  • Install and route electrical wiring, cables, sensors, and components per electrical schematics and build documentation.
  • Build and install plumbing and fluid delivery systems, including stainless steel tubing, Swagelok fittings, flare fittings, and Teflon tubing.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and plumbing diagrams to execute builds accurately.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly, fitment, wiring, and plumbing issues during the build process.
  • Identify and communicate discrepant parts, documentation gaps, and design issues to engineering and supervision.
  • Accurately document build process, changes, and issues in assembly manuals and production logs.
  • Support tool builds from initial assembly through mechanical completion, ensuring systems are ready for downstream activities.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to maintain build schedules and workflow efficiency.
  • Occasionally lead or coordinate portions of the build process, assigning tasks and supporting less experienced technicians.
  • Support the handoff of completed tools to the next production stage or shipping team once mechanical and assembly work is complete.
  • Follow all safety procedures while assembling and working on equipment (lockout/tagout, safety logs, bypass tags, etc.).



Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred.4+ years of hands-on manufacturing or equipment build experience, preferably in semiconductor, automation, or capital equipment environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




  • Ability to bend, plumb and integrate all tubing connections (stainless steel Swagelok and Flare Tek TFE fittings) according to a plumbing schematics.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and light metalworking skills (drilling and tapping metal) required.
  • Ability to navigate through different software programs such as Excel, Word, CAD, SolidWorks.
  • Basic training in electronics and reading electrical schematics preferred.
  • Experience with small gauge wire stripping, pin crimping, and terminating preferred.
  • Experience with control software on automated machines preferred.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail with capacity to produce a high-quality work product.
  • Requires frequent changes in positions while working, including frequent standing, sitting, and bending throughout the shift.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required.


Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $49,692-$62,944, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
